Michael Andrew Butler and Marcus Pegasus Blaise Page (part of Albuquerque's Catholic Worker in the South Valley) attempted to hold vigil from 6:30pm to 6:30am across the street from LANL, but the various 'persons in charge' didn't like the idea and conspired to have Butler and Page arrested. First the 'persons in charge' held a 30-minute discussion with the Catholic Workers, then upon realizing the CWs had decided to continue as they had planned (prior to the beginning of the discussion), the folks in uniform called the cops. Butler took the plea bargain and Page went to trial. Two juries later, Page was found "guilty" by the jury and sentenced by the judge to 30 hours of community service at a location where Page had never yet volunteered.
